Worry Beads

Many years ago, I spent about 9 months in Greece. That's where I first heard of Worry Beads.

In every local coffee shop, the town's men would gather, sip espresso and play with their Worry Beads. Everyone had their own string of beads.

I brought several of them home with me. They made great gifts!

These beads are not usually associated with Metaphysical Powers. They relieve stress simply because they keep your fidgeting hands busy doing a simple, repetitive movement which eventually becomes almost subconscious. Your anxiety or stress is redirected to the swinging or counting of these beads.

• 1. The tail of the Worry Beads are held between your index finger and the middle finger. The larger string of beads are then flipped into and out of your palm repeatedly.
  

• 2. Hold the bead at the T intersection with one hand. Hold all the beads on the loop in the other hand at a higher level than the hand grasping the central bead and tail. While counting, drop them 1 or 2 at a time.

• 3. If the beads are smooth, simply rub them with your thumb. This is used to induce sleep.

  These stones are black, brown and white striped agate.

  Crackled Crystal Quartz Dream
  I just wanted to make this one pretty!
  Snowflake nuggets are 1/2 inch long. Round Clear Quartz are about 6mm (0.24 inches)long. The Snow Quartz Pendulum is 1 inch long. 4 cone shaped AB and 5 round Clear Swarovski Crystals each about 3/8 inch long.
